Practise the English you need for your work in film, whether you are pitching a project, auditioning, working on set, meeting international collaborators, attending festivals and markets, or writing professional emails. Each one-on-one lesson is shaped around your role, English level, and a real situation you want to handle more confidently.
Who These Lessons Are For
These lessons are for directors, producers, writers, actors, casting professionals, cinematographers, editors, production crew, and others working in film and screen production. You do not need to have a finished project. Bring a real communication challenge from your work or an upcoming professional situation.
English for Filmmakers and Producers: Pitch Your Project
Bring a pitch deck, treatment or project idea. Practise explaining the story and answering questions from a potential collaborator, producer or client, with feedback on clarity, vocabulary and pronunciation.
English for Actors: Auditions and Script Discussions
Bring audition sides or a script excerpt to practise reading aloud and discussing the scene. Work on pronunciation and expressing your interpretation clearly. These are English lessons focused on communication, rather than acting training.
English for Film Crew: Communicating on Set
Practise giving and checking instructions, discussing a shot or schedule, and asking for clarification on set. Use situations from your own role to build vocabulary you can apply at work.
Prepare for Film Festivals and Professional Meetings
Rehearse introducing yourself and your project, meeting international collaborators, and following up by email. Bring a real conversation or draft email to work through with your tutor.
How the Lesson Works
Book a private online session and tell Vadim what you want to work on. Together, you will practise realistic conversations or review your own material instead of following a generic textbook. You will receive speaking practice, useful industry vocabulary, pronunciation help, corrections, and feedback you can apply to your next professional conversation. Each booked hour is 60 minutes.

Filmmaker and Level 5 TEFL-qualified English teacher
Vadim is a filmmaker with professional experience in international production support. Having worked in the UK and internationally, he combines professional film industry experience with TEFL training to help filmmakers, actors, producers, and crew communicate naturally and confidently in real professional situations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can beginners book a lesson?
Yes. Booking options cover beginner (A1–A2), intermediate (B1–B2) and advanced (C1–C2) learners. Choose “Not sure yet” if you do not know your level. The lesson is tailored to your role and level.
Can I bring my own script or pitch deck?
Yes. You can bring audition sides, a script, treatment, pitch deck, email or presentation and use it during your English lesson.
How long are lessons?
You can book one or two hours; each hour is 60 minutes. The booking panel shows the rate for your selected date and the total for your chosen duration before payment.
Is there a free introductory lesson?
First-time students can book one free 15-minute introductory lesson to discuss their English level and the situations they want to practise.
Can I join from outside Japan?
Lessons take place online using Google Meet. Booking times are shown in Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9); check the corresponding time in your location before booking.
How do I request a cancellation or reschedule?
Email [email protected] with your order number to request a cancellation, reschedule or refund. Requests are handled by support; a refund is not automatic.
